PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Saif on Thursday blamed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja for turning the Election Commission of Pakistan into a political party.
In a statement, Saif said that the ECP was dilly-dallying the matter after calling meetings everyday while urging the ECP to follow the orders of the apex court by issuing notification of the reserved seats to the Pakistan tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates.
He accused the CEC of committing contempt of court, while also demanding action against him under Article 6.
“The political decisions made by state institutions are always disastrous for the country. The Form-47 government has brought every institution on the brink of destruction,” he maintained.
