THIMPU (Dunya News) – Pakistan on Wednesday defeated Sri Lank to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2024 SAFF Under-17 Championship being held in Thimphu, Bhutan.
The team green secured a convincing win of 5-1 against Lankans in their final group stage match with Subhan Khan displaying exception performance.
Khan netted two goals while Muhammad Talha and Abdul Ghani contributed one goal each, beating Sri Lanka in the match.
It marks the second victory grabbed by Pakistan in the three group stage matches as a match against hosts Bhutan ended in draw.
Pakistani fans hoped that the team would continue to perform in the upcoming matches to win the SAFF Under-17 title for the country.
