Piaf-Pioneers Progressive Alliance wins LCCI elections

The alliance’s all 15 candidates win with big margin

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Piaf-Pioneers Progressive Alliance has made a clean sweep in Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections of Associate Class category.

The second phase of the elections was completed on Tuesday, with thumping victory of all 15 candidates of the panel.

Candidates of Piaf-Pioneers Progressive Alliance won the elections with margin of 1,548 votes as they got 3,775 votes whereas their rival group Founders RBF Alliance got 2,227 votes.

Piaf-Pioneers Progressive Alliance’s Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh got 1,416 votes, Muhammad Muneeb Manu got 1,398 votes, Asif Malik got 1,387 votes and Khalid Usman got 1,380 votes.

With the elections result, industrialists and businessmen, who supported Piaf-Pioneers Progressive Alliance, gathered in the Lahore Chamber building to greet their successful candidates with flowers and sloganeering.

It should be noted that on the second day of the chamber election, 7,330 out of total 13,699 Associate Class members used their votes.

Tight security arrangements were taken on the election’s day, with complete scanning and surveillance of the voters and the venue.
