ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court has emphasised the importance of dialogue in strengthening institutions, urging district and sessions judges to promote a culture of communication, sharing, and care.

Speaking at a two-day workshop, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah reiterated that mediation is crucial for resolving disputes. He said that without mediation, the judiciary could not effectively handle the backlog of 2.4 million cases.

“Pakistan is a litigation-heavy society, with the number of pending cases growing every day. Only 4,000 judges are available to handle these cases,” he added.

Addressing the workshop participants, Islamabad High Court Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani stressed the significance of communication, cautioning judges against crossing the red line to avoid being perceived as biased.

At the conclusion, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah distributed certificates among the participants.
