LAHORE (Dunya News) - The hearing on the petition against the Practice and Procedure Ordinance 2024 could not be held in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday.
LHC Chief Justice Aliya Neelam’s cause-list was canceled, with court staff stating that there would be no proceedings today.
The petition was filed by citizen, Munir Ahmed, who contended that the presidential ordinance was malicious and argued that it could not diminish or augment the powers of the Supreme Court.
The petitioner has requested the court to annul the presidential ordinance and issue an order to suspend its implementation until a final decision on the petition was made.
