KARACHI (Dunya News) - Three robbers tortured two policemen severely and snatched their weapons and mobile phones near Super Highway here on Monday, SHO Malik Salim said.
Sub-inspector Shahzad and Constable Zakir were going to police station when three robbers on two bikes snatched their mobile phones and weapons and subjected them to severe torture.
They were admitted to hospital. A case was registered against the robbers who fled after the crime.
TWO BANDITS INJURED IN ‘ENCOUNTER’
In another incident in the city, two robbers were injured in an alleged encounter with police. The injured outlaws were later arrested and shifted to hospital.
They were identified as Shahzad and Ali. Police seized two pistols, snatched cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle. Further investigation was underway.
RAPE ACCUSED APPREHENDED
Police tracked down a suspect for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at Faisalabad Allied Hospital. The suspect subjected her sexual assault and escaped a few days.
CPO Kamran Adil had formed different teams for the arrest of the suspect. On Monday, police arrested him and started investigation.
SUSPECT HELD FOR HARASSING WOMAN
Dolphin squad has tracked down a man for harassing a woman in Johar Town. The victim called 15 for help. Taking notice of the complaint, Dolphin squad acted swiftly and arrested the suspect who was identified as Hassan.
He was handed over Johar Town police, who started investigation against the accused. SP Dolphin Shah Mir Khalid commended the Dolphin team for taking swift action.
