Punjab to outsource 14,000 public sector schools, announces CM Maryam

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday announced that 14,000 public sector schools would be outsourced.

Addressing an event in Lahore, she applauded the education ministry and his team for doing remarkable work.

“We have taken several steps to improve the quality of education in schools. The government is trying to provide relief to the masses,” said the chief minister.

She added that the issues of schools can only be resolved through public-private partnership.

According to CM Maryam, there was corruption of Rs1 billion in Punjab Text Book Board during the tenure of PTI.

She also demanded a corruption case to be registered against the former education minister of PTI.

“We’ll be able to transform the education sector,” Maryam Nawaz said.
