Lahore to experience hot and humid weather with no rain forecast

Lahore has topped the global list for pollution, with an average smog level of 183 recorded

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The provincial capital Lahore is expected to experience hot and humid weather today with no chance of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the city is likely to be 25 degrees Celsius, while the maximum could reach 36 degrees Celsius. The humidity level is recorded at over 70 percent.

Weather forecasters have confirmed that there was no expectation of rain in Lahore today. Additionally, Lahore has topped the global list for pollution, with an average smog level of 183 recorded in the city. 

Meanwhile, the Met Office forecast hot and dry weather in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

It reported hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. However, rain wind/thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Met Office recorded highest maximum temperature in Nokkundi where mercury soared to 41 with Bhakkar and Sibbi 40 degrees Celsius.

Moreover, the Rawalpindi district administration has declared that the risk of flooding in Nullah Leh and 15 seasonal streams has been subsided for the time being.

The administration officially ended flood emergency and closed flood relief camps and control rooms.
