ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly in all cases against them.
ATC Judge Abual Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the bail applications for the detained PTI MNAs in a case registered at the Sangjani police station.
During the hearing, Prosecutor Raja Naveed argued against granting bail, citing that MNA Ahmad Chatha was named in the case and that the charges carried a minimum sentence of three years.
Judge Abual Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain inquired if any recovery had been made from the MNAs. The prosecutor responded that nothing was recovered from the accused MNAs.
The court subsequently approved bail for the detained PTI MNAs in all cases, setting the surety bond amount at Rs30,000 for each, and ordered their immediate release.
The PTI MNAs face charges under terrorism laws in cases registered at Sangjani, Tarnol, Noon, and Sumbal police stations.
