CM Maryam for curbing artificial hike in prices of chicken, milk

Maryam Nawaz says prices of poultry should be kept in check

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday called for reducing the artificial increase in prices of basic commodities.

She made this remark while chairing a session to finalise a comprehensive strategy to reduce inflation.

It was discussed in the meeting that curbing the artificial rise in prices of basic commodities including chicken and milk was crucial to provide the masses a much-needed relief.

She also ordered a detailed mechanism to end the adulteration in milk and also directed for a fixed price of chicken and milk.

The chief minister also ordered a more appropriate system to control the rates of basic items.

Any artificial increase of price is unacceptable to me, she asserts.

Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Sahoo, Secretary Food Moazzam Supra, Secretary Livestock Masood Anwar, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal and others were present in the meeting.
