ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Petroleum prices in Pakistan may fall sharply following decline in global oil prices.
According to sources, petroleum prices could decrease by up to Rs11 per litre from August 1.
The price of petrol may drop by Rs5.50 a litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) could fall up to Rs11 per litre.
Kerosene is likely to become cheaper by Rs5.84 per litre, and light diesel oil by Rs5.
The global oil prices have been facing a decline for the last couple of weeks, prompting the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to adjust local prices accordingly.
The new rates will be finalised and officially notified after the prime minister's approval late on Wednesday night.
