ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday ordered jail authorities to present Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi via video link on Sept 7 in a vandalism case.
ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra conducted hearing on vandalism case against Khan and Qureshi.
Judge Sipra asked about Qureshi’s whereabouts and whether he was a convicted prisoner, to which Qureshi’s counsel responded that he wasn’t a convicted prisoner and was languishing in Kot Lakhpat Jail as a political prisoner.
Later, judge Sipra adjourned hearing till Sept 7 and ordered jail superintendent to present Khan and Qureshi through video link in the next hearing.
It must be remembered that twin cases of vandalism had been registered against Khan, Qureshi and the PTI workers in Khanna Police Station, Islamabad.
