LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi appeared before Lahore's anti-terrorism court (ATC) today.
Lahore's ATC heard the jail trial cases against Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other accused in the May 9 and Jinnah House attack cases.
The court handed over copies of challan to Shah Mahmood.
The court has adjourned the case hearing until July 15 by summoning the accused for indictment in the case.
According to jail sources, Shah Mahmood was transferred to Kot Lakhpat jail Lahore from Adiala Jail under tight security in the early morning.
He has been charged with seven cases of the May 9 incident in Lahore. Adiala jail police have probed Shah Mahmood Qureshi in May 9 cases. It is pertinent to note that the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb have acquitted former prime minister Imran Khan and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case.
