KARACHI (Dunya News) - The relatives of a woman who was killed and her daughter wounded allegedly in police firing ended their protest on National Highway after successful negotiations with law enforcers, Dunya News reported here on Sunday.
A woman and her daughter were going by a car in Steal Town near National Highway when they fell victim to police firing.
As a result of the firing, the woman died instantly and her daughter received serious injuries.
Their relatives held protest on National Highway keeping the dead body on the road, demanding action against the SHO concerned.
With their sit-in, traffic on National Highway was badly disrupted, causing great inconvenience for the motorists, who seemed stranded on Karachi roads for several hours.
The protesters announced leaving the road and called off their protest after the assurance that their demands will be met and those responsible for the death of their relative would be brought to justice. The National Highway opened for traffic
