PCB refuses Australia's offer for tri-series with India

'We have better options available to us,' says Mohsin Naqvi

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has refused an offer made by Cricket Australia Chief Executive Nick Hockley for a tri-series involving India.

Mr Naqvi said, “We have better options available to us,” adding that Pakistan team is scheduled to tour Australia in November this year.

It is recalled that Cricket Australia had proposed that a tri-nation series could be held if cricket boards of India and Pakistan agreed.

England and Wales Cricket Board has also made a similar proposal, but so far there is no major development in this regard.

On the other hand, the PCB chief once again confirmed that all matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in Pakistan. He also hoped that India would Pakistan for the cricket event as there are some good signs.

He further said that no free tickets will be issued for the Champions Trophy, adding that there was need to increase revenue through ticket sales.
