ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islambad district administration has granted permission to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold public gathering (jalsa) in Islamabad on July 6.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard the case of PTI's request for a public gathering.
State counsel informed the court that the Islamabad administration had allowed the PTI to hold a public rally on July 6 at Tarnol Chowk in Islamabad.
Consequently, the IHC disposed of Amir Mughal’s petition after the NOC issuance.
However, PTI’s counsel Shoaib Shaheen said the party had not been given time for public gathering preparation.
In response, Justice Babar Sattar contended that the party was big enough to make the arrangements of the event in a few hours.
It should be noted that the PTI had suggested four venues including D-Chowk and Parade Ground for the rally.
In the last hearing, the IHC had directed the administration and the PTI leaders to sit and resolve their differences.
