NEW YORK (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed that friendly bilateral ties between Pakistan, China were an example for the global community.
He also highlighted that all strict measures have been taken for foolproof security of Chinese citizens.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Peoples Republic of China counterpart Qi Yanjun at the Chinese' mission office in the United Nations in New York.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on Pak-China bilateral ties, security matters, cooperation between law enforcement agencies (LEA) and usage and training of the latest technology and tools. China will cooperate in the training and capacity building of Pakistan’s LEAs.
China’s counterpart Qi Yanjun hailed the establishment of SPU for the safety and security of foreign nationals, especially Chinese and ensured full support for SPU training and other matters.
On the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi presented the progress report on the tragic incident of Dasu. Qi Yanjun commended Pakistan’s professionalism and efforts for tracing of the case.
Chinese counterpart invited Mohsin Naqvi to Global Security Forum to be held in September in China. Mohsin thanked Qi Yanjun by accepting the invitation.
Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi also invited his Chinese counterpart for Pakistan’s visit. Mohsin Naqvi announced that China’s interior ministry advisory group will visit Pakistan soon.
The interior minister reaffirmed Pakistan-China friendly bilateral ties and hailed it as a role model for the global community.
He also highlighted fool-proof security measures for Chinese nationals’ security.
It is pertinent to note that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chinese counterpart Qi Yanjun both are attending the 4th UN COP Conference in New York.
