LAHORE (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch criticised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent address to the nation on Sunday, calling it a mockery.
In a statement, the JI deputy amir stated that the prime minister's speech further exacerbated the hardships faced by the people, underscoring the disconnect between the rulers and the struggles of the impoverished middle class.
During his address on Saturday, PM Shehbaz pledged that the current IMF programme would be the last in Pakistan's history.
He outlined a strategy aimed at maximising the benefits of investments from friendly nations and emphasised the government's commitment to dismantling corrupt institutions.
