NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Haris Rauf has become the fastest pacer to complete 100 wickets in T20I format of cricket on Tuesday.
He achieved the milestone in a match against Canada as the Pakistan side is making out efforts to stay alive in the T20 World Cup 2024.
The right-arm pacer completed 100 wickets in 71 matches. Previously, the title was held by Ireland's Mark Adair, who achieved the milestone in 72 matches.
Overall, Haris Rauf is the third fastest bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets. The other two players are spinners who achieved this feat in fewer matches. Afghanistan's Rashid Khan took 54 matches and Sri Lanka's Hasaranga 63 matches to complete 100 wickets.
In addition to this achievement, Haris Rauf is also the second Pakistani to take 100 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals. Shadab Khan is the highest wicket-taker for Pakistan with 107 wickets.
