ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –The government has decided to abolish the boards of the electricity companies.
According to the sources, the government has decided to introduce SOE Ordinance. The ordinance will be applied to the boards of all the government-owned enterprises including electricity distribution companies.
The PM has stopped reconstitution of boards of SEPCO and CEO from being presented in the cabinet.
It has also been decided to change the independent directors in all the companies and on professionals will be appointed in the distributioncompanies.
The PM is said to have given permission to present the summary to the cabinet for the board members of the companies.
