ATC hears bail pleas of PTI's detained leader Ejaz Chaudhry regarding May 9

Judge issues arrest warrants for IO, SHO of police station concerned

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court heard the bail pleas of PTI's detained leader Ejaz Chaudhry in connection with eight cases related to the May 9 incidents, including the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attacks, and torching the Shadman police station. 

Ejaz Chaudhry's lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, argued that police had not submitted the case records. In response, the court issued bailable arrest warrants for the investigating officer and the SHO concerned.

Judge Khalid Arshad, the administrator of the anti-terrorism court, issued the warrants. 

The court ordered arguments from the special prosecutor on the next hearing and adjourned the proceedings until June 4. Also, the court ordered the prosecution to submit the case records as well.
