Another flight taking Pakistani students from Bishkek lands at Lahore airport

Officials of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation received them

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Another flight of a foreign airline carrying Pakistani students from Bishkek on Monday landed at Lahore Airport.

More than 150 passengers were onboard the Airbus A320.

More than 600 students have so far reached Lahore from four flights.

According to CAA sources, arrangements have been complete at Lahore Airport before the arrival of more students from Bishkek.

Officials of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation welcomed the students and provided them refreshment.

A clash between foreign and local students in Kirgizstan led to the Pakistani students to leave the country because they were being subjected to torture and violence. Families present at the airport to receive their loved ones expressed joy at the safe return of the students.

The Civil Aviation Authority established an immigration desk and provided transportation for the arriving students.

The federal government was supposed to cover the expenses for these special flights in line with the prime minister's directives, but the repatriated students complained that each student incurred travel expenses ranging between Rs90,000 to Rs92,000.
