LEEDS (Dunya News) – Aliya Riaz, a key player of the Pakistan women’s cricket team, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching 1,000 runs in T20I cricket.
She achieved the feat during the third match of the T20I series against Ireland in Leeds.
She has become the fifth Pakistan woman player to surpass the 1,000-run mark in T20I.
Earlier, Bismah Maroof, Javeria Khan, Nida Dar, and Muneeba Ali have achieved the milestone with their impressive performances.
A day earlier, England women beat Pakistan by 34 runs to complete the three-match T20I series sweep at Headingley.
England racked up 176 on the board and then defended it with ease restricting Pakistan to 142-4 in 20 overs. Danni Wyatt’s 87 off 48 balls was the difference between the two sides.
