LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan held a meeting on Thursday at Jati Umrah, Lahore.
The chief minister congratulated the governor for assuming office. They discussed matters related to development in the province.
Both the CM and governor vowed to work together for sustainable development, progress of the province, and uplifting the living standard of citizens.

Both sides held discussions related to economic development, governance, education, health, law and order, climate change, and other matters. They pledged to cooperate for the welfare of citizens across the province.
CM Maryam Nawaz stated that all constitutional offices would be respected as the governor acted a bridge between provinces and the Centre.
She highlighted that the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was being upgraded and improved across the province. She informed that various projects related to education, health, road infrastructure, and IT were initiated.
She emphasised that a special social protection programme was initiated to make life easier for the underprivileged.
The governor stressed that every possible effort would be made to provide relief to the public.

He assured that the Governor House would cooperate for supremacy of constitution and law across the province.
