Three killed, 27 injured as bus overturns in Rahim Yar Khan

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospital.

RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) – At least three persons lost their lives and 27 other sustained injuries when a bus turned turtle in Rahim Yar Khan on late Tuesday night, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the accident occurred at the Motorway M5 near Iqbalabad Interchange in Rahim Yar Khan where a bus going to Karachi from Islamabad overturned when its tyre burst, killing three persons on the spot and wounding 27 others.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. Meanwhile, police have started the investigation.

Road accidents are quite common in Pakistan, making it one of the hazardous countries. Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
