ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The caretaker government on Thursday increased the petrol price by Rs4.13 per litre for the next fortnight.
However, the diesel prices will remain the same for the next two weeks.
After the hike, the petrol price jumps from Rs 275.62 to Rs 279.75 and diesel price will remain the same at Rs 287.33 per litre.
The caretaker government increased the petroleum prices for the third consecutive time. The elected prime minister is all set to take office by the end of this week, marking an end to the longest-serving interim set-up in the country.
The latest hike was already predicted due to a hike in global oil prices amid a recovery in demand.
