'Titanic's success: Winslet found fame to be distressing

She deliberately opted for smaller projects to escape the scrutiny

(Web Desk) - Hollywood star Kate Winslet recently shared her feelings about the aftermath of starring in the blockbuster film ‘Titanic.’

Despite the immense success of the movie, Winslet found fame to be distressing, citing media intrusion and pressure to maintain a certain image.

She deliberately opted for smaller projects following ‘Titanic’ to escape the scrutiny.

While acknowledging the joy the film brings to audience, Winslet emphasised the challenges of fame, particularly the invasive attention it brings.

However, she doesn’t view it as a burden, noting that the film’s enduring popularity is a source of happiness.

Winslet humorously mentioned feeling the need to hide on boats, referencing a scene from the film.

Titanic,’ released in 1997, starred Winslet alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and won numerous Academy Awards.

Despite being the highest-grossing film until 2009, Winslet found the aftermath of its success difficult to navigate.
