Pakistan's envoy urges technological adaptation and innovation

Labor must adapt itself with new skills

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan's Envoy to the United Arab Emirates, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, emphasized the pivotal role of technology in reshaping the landscape of labor demands and stressed the crucial need for innovation in meeting these evolving requirements.

He gave these remarks during an address at the 7th Ministerial Consultation of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) in Abu Dhabi.

Speaking as the current chair of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue, Ambassador Tirmizi underscored the imperative for individuals to adapt to new and sophisticated technologies in order to remain relevant in the rapidly changing job market.

The Abu Dhabi Dialogue, a unique platform, convenes representatives from 17 countries in the Gulf and Asia to collaboratively address issues related to labor mobility.

Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the distinctive role of the ADD in tackling labor mobility issues and safeguarding the rights of migrant workers.

Expressing appreciation for the forum's emphasis on women in green jobs, he also called for innovative approaches to address shifting labor demands and advocated for the development of skills mobility partnerships.

The envoy commended the ADD's efforts in addressing global challenges such as climate change and migrant health, recognizing the global significance of tackling these issues collaboratively.

The Abu Dhabi Dialogue stands as a crucial forum for fostering cooperation and dialogue among nations to navigate the complex dynamics of labor mobility and ensure the well-being of migrant workers in an ever-changing world.
