Mohsin Naqvi reviews preparations for PSL 9

The PCB chief has sought details of expenditure including salaries of players

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Newly-elected chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the preparations for the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).

Mr Naqvi, who also holds the charge of caretaker chief minister Punjab, visited the National Cricket Academy (NCA) where he got a briefing on the development projects, including inspection and upgradation of the NCA accommodation.

Additionally, he assessed the facilities and dressing rooms at Gaddafi Stadium. Officials briefed him on the preparations for PSL 9.

Earlier, sources revealed that the chairman had summoned expenditure details of the cricket board, including salaries of players and annual budget. He has directed the chief finance officer (CFO) and other officials to prepare a report for the briefing.

Sources said the chairman wanted to compare the performance of the cricket team and expenses. After reviewing all the matters, Mr Naqvi would prepare a future plan to run the affairs of the board.
