LHC fixes hearing of PTI founder's plea against jail trial in ECP contempt case

PTI founder has filed petition to end jail trial trial in contempt of ECP case

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed the hearing of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder's petition to end jail trial in contempt of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) case.

A three member bench headed by Justice Aliya Neelam will hear the case on Jan 29. The court has sought the arguments about the jurisdiction of LHC.

The court has also ordered the petitioner’s counsel to present detailed documents before the court.

The PTI founder had filed petition for ending jail trial in contempt of the ECP case in the LHC.

LHC has also annulled the decision that discarded bail pleas in seven cases registered against PTI founder.
