Javed Miandad laments over state of affairs in Pakistan cricket

Says frequent appointments and changes in team have adversely affected confidence of players

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former captain Javed Miandad has expressed concerns on the way cricket is being run in Pakistan.

“I have not seen anywhere in the world the way the cricket is being governed in Pakistan,” the cricket great told media at a ceremony in Karachi. He lamented that the state of affairs in cricket is really sad.

He emphasized that the frequent appointments in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and changes within the national team have adversely affected the level of confidence among the players.

Responding to a question about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, who is facing multiple cases in Adiala jail, he said: “A person who has served the country should be punished carefully if he has committed something wrong”.
