PCB chief, Sindh IGP discuss PSL 9 security

IGP Riffat assured Zaka Ashraf of providing foolproof security for the matches

KARACHI – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja called on Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf to discuss matters related to security of upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).

They also held discussion about security measures being taken for other matches arranged by the PCB. The IGP Sindh said that an integrated contingency plan would be chalked out for PSL matches to be played in Karachi. He said foolproof security of the matches would be ensured.

PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf expressed satisfaction over the proposed security plans by police.

The mega domestic cricket event is expected to being from February 17, 2024.
