ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has devised a Plan B in case it loses its electoral symbol of “bat” once again.
According to details, under the new plan, the PTI has instructed its candidates to submit tickets on the symbol of “batsman” which is the electoral symbol of its splinter group, the PTI-Nazriati.
The symbol of “batsman” also contains the bat which will make it easier for the voters of the PTI while casting votes.
The PTI-Nazriati was established in January 2012 after Akhtar Iqbal Dar developed differences with the PTI founder, claiming that the party had become a group of turncoats.
The PTI has directed its candidates to file nominations under the banner of PTI-Nazriati group, where the election symbol is “batsman”.
The candidates have been advised to lodge complaints via email with the district, provincial and central election commission offices if the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) refuses to accept their tickets.
In case of refusal, the candidates have been further instructed to submit requests with police, file petitions with high courts, put posts on social media platforms and send all evidence and requests to the party.
Following the instructions, PTI candidates have started collecting the tickets for the PTI-Nazriati.
