(AFP) - Turkiye announced the recall of its ambassador to Israel for consultations due to Israel's refusal to agree to a Gaza ceasefire.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Gaza resulting from Israel's continuous attacks on civilians and Israel's unwillingness to engage in a ceasefire agreement as the reasons for the recall.
