NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell has added another feather to his cap by smashing the fastest century in the history of World Cup.
The right-arm batsman achieved the feat in a match against Netherlands at Delhi stadium on Wednesday. He completed the century off 40 balls as he made 106 off 44.
The Australian batter has smashed the record of South African batter Aiden Markam, who had completed his ton on 49 balls while playing against Sri Lanka during the current tournament.
Aussies have set a total of 400 runs for the Netherlands to win the match. David Warner also smashed 104 off 93 during this match.
