(Web Desk) - A Russian YouTuber faced harassment whilst vlogging at Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar market.
Kristina, who runs the channel ‘Koko in India’, is a Russian national but lives in India.
In a video, Kristina walked around the famous market and said in Hindi: “My friends, I am in Sarojini Nagar.”
But things took a turn when a man approached her and asked: “Can you be my friend?”
Kristina replied: “But I don’t know you.”
The man persisted and said: “You will get to know me once we become friends.”
He also said that he regularly watches her YouTube videos.
Kristina continues to walk and film the incident. Meanwhile, the man follows her. She remains composed and tells the man that she has enough friends.
But the man says that if she has one more friend, what’s the harm?
He adds: “It is my dream to become friends with a Russian woman.”
Kristina gets visibly uncomfortable and asks the man why he doesn’t befriend Indian women instead.
The man tells her: “You are very sexy.” Nervous by his remark, she increases her walking speed and says: “Okay bye.”
The video prompted many of Kristina’s fans to apologise for what transpired.
One fan said: “That’s harassment, do seek help next time if anything like this happens.”
Another commented: “Being an Indian, I apologise for that guy’s behaviour.” A third added: “Sorry for the bad experience you had Koko. This man should be taught a lesson!”
Others praised Kristina for the way she handled the situation at Sarojini Nagar market, with one person writing:
“Sorry for that guy Koko, you very smartly handled that guy, welcome to India.”
Another posted: “The way you handled the situation was quite impressive. I feel sorry for his behaviour.”
