IPP issues 'show-cause' notice to Awn Chaudhry for welcoming Nawaz

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has issued a show-cause notice to Awn Chaudhary for welcoming Nawaz Sharif at Islamabad airport.

The IPP spokesperson said on Sunday that the party “has nothing to do with Awn Chaudhry’s meeting with Nawaz Sharif at Islamabad airport and sought explanation form him.”

It may be recalled that Awn’s explanation was sought after videos posted on social media website X, formerly twitter, showed that he was hugging, shaking hands and talking to Nawaz at the runway of Islamabad airport. He accompanied the PML-N chief to helicopter.

Interestingly, Aoun is considered one of the closest personalities of IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Tareen.
