(Web Desk) - The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have confirmed that 14,000 tickets will be released to fans ahead of the meeting between India and Pakistan at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.

India and Pakistan’s group stage meeting in Ahmedabad at the World Cup is one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament.

And even more fans will be able to attend after news was released that additional tickets are going to go on sale to the general public.

The Indian board confirmed on Saturday that “the sale of tickets for the match will commence from 12pm IST onwards on October 8th, 2023. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the official ticketing website.”

India go into their home tournament as the top-ranked Men’s ODI team in the world and are among the favourites to win the World Cup for the first time since 2011.

The match will be the third for the tournament hosts India, who get their campaign underway against Australia in Chennai on Sunday before a meeting with Afghanistan in Delhi on Wednesday.

Pakistan will travel to Ahmedabad from Hyderabad, where they face Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

Babar Azam’s side got their tournament underway with an 81-run win over Netherlands on Friday, and will be eyeing a spot in the top four to seal a semi-final spot.
