Police register case of ANP leader's murder

Kasi's body was kept in Quetta Civil Hospital

QUETTA (Web Desk) - Police have registered a case against unknown assailants in connection with the murder of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Arbab Ghulam Muhammad Kasi whose body was found in Kuchlak area on Tuesday. 

The FIR was lodged with the Kuchlak police station on the complaint of a police officer after receiving a postmortem report. 

Kasi's body was kept in the Quetta Civil Hospital last night. According to the autopsy report, the ANP leader was shot dead and the bullet hit left side of the head close to ear which caused his death. 

Police on Tuesday night found the body of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Advocate Arbab Ghulam Kasi in Balochistan's Kuchlak area.

The body was spotted in an abandoned area of Killi Sheikh Jamal Atozai in a mysterious condition.

On receiving the information from witnesses, police took the body of the ANP leader into custody and shifted it to the Quetta Civil Hospital.

Police found a pistol lying near the body of the ANP leader who was also provincial president of National Lawyers’ Forum.

The deceased suffered a bullet injury close to his ear that proved fatal.

The family told police that it was not a suicide case. Kasi left the house for Quetta around 4pm on Tuesday.  Kasi is the second ANP leader who has been killed in Kuchlak area.
