Babar Azam gifts jersey to young Sri Lanka fan after Test series sweep

COLOMBO (Web Desk) – Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the hearts as he gifted his official jersey to a young fan at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
On Thursday, the Team Green sealed a dominant innings victory over Sri Lanka, completing a 2-0 series triumph and earning crucial points in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings.
Pakistan commenced their WTC25 campaign on a solid note, having registered an away series victory against Sri Lanka in the two-match series.
After winning the match, players were returning to the dress room when Babar Azam spared some time to meet his Sri Lankan fans near the stands. He took selfies and also gave autographs to them.
Videos capturing the moments have went viral on social media, showing the right-handed batsman is the legend across the border too.
At one point, one of the young fans asked him to give her the official jersey. Babar Azam, in a quick response, put off the shirt, gave it to him and went to the dressing room.
Later, the young fan can be seen placing the shirt in his bag with a big smile on his face.
