Says they are securing loans but they have no plan to repay the same
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says 240 million people have gained (political) consciousness now and their (rulers') proverbial dream palaces would come crashing down.
In his message on the social networking site Twitter, Rashid said Shehbaz Sharif, during his Peshawar visit, had said corruption and bribery were rampant in Pakistan and people themselves had to fix the issues and they should not rely upon prime minister for that.
He (Shehbaz Sharif) said he was endeavouring to save the country, the AML head said, but actually he was trying to close his corruption cases and had left the people suffering owing to inflation and unemployment.

Rashid said the prime minister took oath of office on the day he was supposed to be indicted. They got the laws passed from an assembly which they would call fake and bogus.
He said Aug 12 was the incumbent government's last day in power. He said most important judgements of the Supreme Court would be coming soon, which would shock the rulers.
He said political death of 13 parties had happened. He was of the view that the present era was the worst era for democracy. “This is not democracy, this is a dark age of coercion. Sanctity of the four walls, constitution, law and judiciary has been violated openly and blatantly.
“They cannot ban a party according to their wishes without approval of the Supreme Court,” said Rashid. He said, “It (PDM) is an unnatural alliance of 13 parties, which will dismember before elections”.
He further said, “They are securing loans but they have no plan to repay the same because according to Bloomberg, Pakistan's liabilities have become six times more than its foreign exchange reserves.” He said they should bring Nawaz Sharif back so that they would have no regret in future.
“No matter how they hold elections, they cannot crush the sentiments of 240 million people,” he said. The economic and political situation of Pakistan could not be improved without help of Almighty Allah and the people.
