State Bank issues Rs75 commemorative banknote

It is available for general public and can used for transactions

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a commemorative currency note in Rs75 denomination on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. 

On its front, the currency note contains an image of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the central bank’s building while Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah’s picture is shown on the back. It also promotes renewables – wind and solar.

According to the SBP, the new banknote is available for issuance to the general public at the central bank’s office and the commercial banks, which can be used for all regular daily transactions.

In his address to a ceremony, SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad said the currency note had been issued only once, as he described the day as the historic occasion.
