(Web Desk) – Australia on Monday officially ruled out veteran spinner Nathan Lyon for the rest of three matches of Ashes series due to injury.
The Aussies confirmed that Todd Murphy will replace him as Mr Lyon, ruled out after suffering a "significant calf tear" while fielding on day two at Lord's. has backed him.
Reserve batter Matthew Renshaw has also been released from the Australian squad but will remain in England and be available should injury strike the touring party again.
