MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently opened up about her early days in the modeling industry and how she was constantly humiliated for her height. The Queen star, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, moved to Delhi to pursue a career in modeling but faced several challenges due to her height, which was 5'7.
In a recent interview, Kangana revealed how models in Delhi are expected to be 5'11 or 6 ft tall, making it difficult for her to get proper modeling assignments.
However, she didn't let the constant rejections dampen her spirits and continued to work hard towards her goals.
When asked about her moving to Mumbai, the actress shared that she came to the city in 2004 for a modeling assignment and decided to stay back. "When they called me back (to Delhi) I even tore my ticket. I told them that I don't want to go back," she added.
Kangana made her acting debut in Bollywood with Anurag Basu’s Gangster in 2006 and has since then become one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. Her journey from a small town in Himachal Pradesh to the big screen has been an inspiration for many.
