The PT chief resolves to expose ruling coalition through street power
LAHORE: (Dunya News) - In his fresh resolve to exert pressure on the PDM-led coalition government, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has issued a fresh warning of countrywide street agitation if the Supreme Court's orders to hold elections in Punjab on May 14 were not implemented.
Addressing the party workers at his Lahore's Zaman Park residence, the former premier said the struggle for "real freedom" aimed to let all under the ambit of law. "To achieve the real freedom isn't a piece of cake rather it requires a lot of sacrifices."
Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Khan said he 'the premier] during his foreign trips always expressed "helplessness" while pretending to not begging for Pakistan and made it clear that the country had no future in slavery.
He said the incumbent rulers had turned to slaves ideologically and their struggle was all about protecting their ill-gotten wealth.

On Saturday, the PTI chief held consultations with party leaders in connection with the issuance of tickets to the candidates for the Punjab Assembly polls. He consulted on forming a new committee in a bid to remove any reservations of the PTI workers in line with the ticket awarding procedure.
The deposed premier will head the proposed review committee in terms of the distribution of tickets in Punjab. Other members of the committee will include PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Ejaz Chaudhry, and others.
On Friday, Mr Khan said that those who were involved in violence were repeating the history of East Pakistan.
Taking to Twitter, the deposed premier lamented the arrest of PTI stalwart Ali Amin Gandapur, saying, "The manner in which Ali Amin Gandapur is being treated is simply because he is a party ideologue loved by our workers. Those indulging in these brainless actions don't realise they are only humiliating themselves and widening the gap between the state and the nation".
"Meanwhile, our respect and love for Ali Amin have increased manifold as he faces these trials and tribulations with defiant fortitude," he added.
In connection with the ticket review process, Mr Khan said, "I will begin the ticket review process from tomorrow until the 26th of the cases sent to me by the four reconciliation committees that were formed for this purpose."
