ANF seizes huge quantity of drugs in operations across country

Spokesman says cases registered against arrested men under the Anti-Narcotics Act
KARACHI: (Dunya News) - Anti-Narcotics Force, during its successful operations against drug dealers in several cities across the country, seized a huge amount of drugs.
The force also conducted operation at an office of a private courier service. An ANF spokesperson said 1,840 narcotic pills had been recovered from two parcels being sent to London at Rawalpindi International Mail Office. In another operation, a man, resident of Khyber, who was travelling to Dubai from Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar was arrested.
The security forces said 83 capsules filled with heroin were recovered from the stomach of the accused. According to the spokesman, ANF and FC in a joint operation in Khyber, recovered 27 kg of hashish from plastic bags.
The ANF spokesman said an attempt to smuggle drugs from Quetta to Karachi was foiled. The ANF recovered 168 kg of hashish from a secret warehouse built in a cargo bus near Hubwinder RCD Highway. The spokesman said that cases had been registered against the arrested accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
