Muslims observe Aitkaf worldwide

Mosques have made extensive arrangements
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Millions of Muslims across the globe, including Pakistan, are having the privilege of performing Aitkaf from Tuesday, April 11, 20th of Ramazan.
Aitkaf is the practice of secluding oneself during the final 10 days of Ramazan, in a Masjid for men or at home for women with the intention of solely dedicating your time to the worship of Allah Almighty, leaving the worldly concerns behind.
It is a great Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, highly virtuous, rewarding and an act that every Muslim strive to perform at least once in lifetime.
A large number of mosques throughout the Muslim countries including Pakistan have made extensive arrangements for Muslims who are performing “Aitkaf” (meditative seclusion) from during the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramazan.
In this regard, special arrangements have been made for Aitkaf in mosques across the country and special preparations have been made in homes as well.
Aitkaf starts after sunset on the 20th of Ramazan and ends when the moon for Eid is sighted. Thousands of people also sit in Aitkaf in the mosques managed by the Auqaf Department.
