MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bollywood actor Salman Khan has revealed that in the past he was promised the best actor award for his super hit film 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' which did not get fulfilled.
During a press conference in Mumbai, Salman Khan revealed that the Filmfare team promised him that the best actor award would be given to him and an invitation was given.
"I am not interested in awards, I never win awards, I am interested in the reward that my fans give me in the form of love and respect," the actor said in a press conference.
The actor further said, I will not name the editor, but this incident happened after the film Maine Pyaar Kiya, so guess who it will be. I was promised that you will be given the award. Went to the event with my father and whole family'. "Then the nominations were announced and when the time to call the best actor came, I stood up, and the award was given to Jackie Shroff," Salman Khan added.
He said 'My father said what is this? I also had to perform on stage that night. I went backstage and said to the editor what the hell, I'm not going to do it to which he said you have to perform, to which I said no I'm not performing.'
