JERUSALEM (Web Desk) - A Palestinian man was killed by Israeli forces on Saturday in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian officials said.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the man as Tariq Maali, 42, saying only that he was shot northwest of the Palestinian city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Violence in the West Bank has surged over the past year, following stepped-up raids by Israel. At least 18 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since Jan. 1.
Nearly 150 Palestinians were killed by Israel in the West Bank and east Jerusalem in 2022, according to figures by the Israeli rights group B’Tselem, making it the deadliest year since 2004.
