Pakistan decide to bat first, Sarfaraz replaces Rizwan
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan captain Babar Azam scored his ninth Test century on the first day of the first match between Pakistan and New Zealand on Monday.
Pakistan decided to bat first after winning the toss at the Karachi National Bank Arena. The Green Shirts made three changes in the squad after a whitewash against England. Wicket-keeper batter Sarfaraz Ahmed replaced Mohammad Rizwan. After nearly four years, Sarfaraz is back in the Test Playing Eleven. He is playing his 50th Test match.
The team lost four wickets before Babar and Sarfaraz put up a stand. Babar also became the first Pakistani to have scored most runs in the world in one year.
